Where can I get my editable flash or swish files?

    · If you purchased this website from Pixelmill, you will need to activate your account by filling in the form at the following location: Pixelmill Purchase Account Activate Form
    · All "editable" flash or swish files (if included with the purchase) are available by clicking on the "download" next to your purchase on the "My Website Templates" page of your members area

Where can I access any online tutorials for my website?
   · If you purchased a website with Flash or Swish we will have likely created a tutorial for you to update those files yourself.  We tend not to do tutorials for standard HTML coding as we assume you already have knowledge of basic web design.  We do provide links to FrontPage tutorials on the "Instructions" page of this manual.
    · You can check out our tutorial section at LuckyMarble here:

Why am I getting an "invalid file format" error when I open up my Swish file with Swish?
Chances are, you're trying to open up an .SWF file with Swish.  The SWF file is NOT editable.  You need to obtain the SWI version of the file (see FAQ for "how do I get my editable flash or swish files).  Normally we have a video tutorial which will walk you through how to update it.

SWF - Shock Wave Flash (this is what your browser loads and plays in your web page)

SWI - SWIsh editable

Why are my changes not saving when I edit my flash file with Macromedia Flash MX/MX2004?
Chances are, you're trying to edit an .SWF file with Flash.  The SWF file is NOT editable.  You need to obtain the FLA version of the file (see FAQ for "how do I get my editable flash or swish files).  Normally we have a video tutorial which will walk you through how to update it.  In most cases, any part of the website template that uses actual Macromedia Flash files will NOT require you to edit them with Macromedia Flash.

SWF - Shock Wave Flash (this is what your browser loads and plays in your web page)

FLA - FLAsh editable

Why are my Swish or Flash changes not displaying in my website after I saved them?
Chances are, you HAVE saved the editable file, but you haven't yet "exported" or "published" the "editable" version into the "compiled" version.

If you are using Swish, go to your File menu, select "Export" -> SWF and then export your file to your website (most often it needs to go into the "flash" folder of your website, overwriting the existing .swf file that is there)

If you are using Flash, go to your File menu, select "Export" and then export your file to your website (again, most often it needs to go into the "flash" folder of your website, overwriting the existing .swf file that is there)
